Like most weekly updates for Black Ops 4, this one is full to the brim with new content. On the multiplayer front, Nuketown transitioning to custom games is a pretty big deal, as are the buffs for Firebreak's Purifier and the nerf for the Titan. Fixes for Zombies, on the other hand, pave the way for the first DLC chapter called Dead of the Night.
The main event for update 1.09, however, is Operation Absolute Zero. It introduces a brand-new specialist for multiplayer, additional Zombies content and, perhaps most importantly, an update to the Blackout battle royale map. Starting later today, players will be able to set sail on a reimagined version of Hijacked from Call of Duty: Black Ops II. New gear at the Black Market also includes a brand-new SMG that can be earned via gameplay in the free Contraband stream. In short, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is getting into the holiday spirit with one of the biggest updates the game has ever seen.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. A version of the 1.09 update will go live on Xbox One later today, with PC to follow shortly thereafter.
