Ghost Box is a record label for a group of artists exploring the misremembered musical history of a parallel world.
“...what's most impressive about Ghost Box is the aesthetic consistency and sheer quality of the material, recalling the heydays of labels such as Factory, 4AD and Warp.” Quietus
“...some of the most delightful electronica to arise in Britain since Aphex Twin, the Black Dog and Global Communication.” The Sunday Times

The Belbury Circle is Jim Jupp of Belbury Poly and Jon Brooks of the Advisory Circle, and the Quietus are pleased to announce that for their debut collaborative EP Empty Avenues, to be released next month on Ghost Box Records, they have joined forces with mighty stalwart of British electronics and synth pop, John Foxx. We're told: 'The music of The Belbury Circle occupies the overlapping territories of Belbury Poly and The Advisory Circle. Foxx’s songs are perfectly framed by haunting pastoral electronics, with perhaps a stronger pop sensibility than previous Ghost Box releases. Brooks and Jupp readily site Foxx as a key influence on their work and as a result his distinctive voice occupies their soundworld effortlessly.' Listen to clips from the EP below.
